This years participation in the 2011 Ride to Conquer Cancer was another great achievement.  2280 riders, 8.6 million raised for cancer research and treatment development.  Yeah!

I have to say, this years ride was hands down the most difficult out of all three year's of participation.  If we weren't fighting hills, we were battling injuries, crosswinds, rain, frozen toes and head-on winds that slowed you to a crawl.... This hands down tested my will for sure!  There were so many times that I contemplated jumping on the bus that transported other riders to the finish line... But I just couldn't let my self. There is no doubt in my mind that what we battled over the June 25-26th weekend compares nothing to what families and victims of cancer face in their battle with the disease.  So, I as well as my other team members fought through to the finish line.

These are some pictures of my friends and I who participated in the 2009 Ride to Conquer Cancer.  I have to say it the was the hardest thing that I have ever done physically, but, hands down the most rewarding.  It was an experience I will never forget.  So much so that I have registered for the 2010 ride... As if one 200km bike ride was enough!  haha
